Since this dress was a sample, it was never worn at an event, but does have some light wear (coloration) at the hem and around the collor. However, the hem can easily be removed and most brides will want to remove it to adjust the length. I am 5'8" and since I planned to wear the dress with flats, I had planned to remove the hem so that it would not be too long. I do think that since it was used as a sample, you would want to have it professionally cleaned before wearing it to your wedding, though it has never been worn to an event (i.e. no dancing, sweating, etc).
