I bought this dress online because it I had heard that BHLDN gowns were "made to wear" and needed minimal alterations. And it was true -- the dress arrived and was fit to wear, except that I'm only 5'1" so I chose to shorten the front of the dress a couple inches so that I didn't step on it by accident. That is the ONLY thing that was changed. I am 5'1" and I wore heels that were 3 1/2" high and the dress was still touching/laying on the floor when I stood still. I only wanted my shoes covered when I walked so it did not have to be altered much at all. This dress is extremely light and very comfortable to wear for over 8 hours (as I did), and it's easy to use the ladies room. It's as if it wasn't on. I adored the way that it looked in pictures and the compliments for it were constant. If I could justify keeping it for some reason (ANY reason!), I would. But it doesn't make sense. And I would love for someone to enjoy it as much as I did. It felt and looked timeless and classy. If this is the look you're going for, you'll feel the same way about it.
